ABOUT BRIAN:
Brian Hopper is a professional photographer based in County Louth, Ireland and has been involved in many aspects of photography for over forty years now. His journey in photography started when he borrowed his Dad’s camera …
Brian currently holds the following distinctions: Excellence FIAP Diamond (EFIAP/d1), Fellowship of The Irish Photographic Federation (FIPF) and an Associate of The Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain (ARPS).
Brian is an ambassador for Canson Infinity Digital Fine Art and Photo papers for ten years now – he is convinced that a captured image has to be printed to be fully appreciated. His work has been widely accepted for exhibitions and published in many magazines and catalogues.
A regular international photographic competition entrant, his images have garnered over 450 international awards and he currently holds the highest FIAP distinction in Ireland – EFIAP/d1 .
Brian is a committed landscape photographer who constantly challenges himself to produce better images – always willing to learn new techniques and always willing to impart knowledge. He agrees that the emphasis behind the use of filters in landscape photography is to control the capture of an image in camera, where the results are immediately available and the post processing does not involve complicated multi image manipulation.
